The aqueous-phase laboratory at the Institute for Tropospheric Research is mainly focused on investigations of photochemical induced radical reactions and non-radical reactions of the aqueous phase in the tropospheric multiphase system. To investigate these free radical reactions several laser photolysis-laser long-path absorption setups are available. The non-radical reactions are observed by using a stopped flow apparatus and/or a UV/VIS spectrometer. The resulting products can be characterized and quantified by various analytical methods.
