Remote Sensing of Atmospheric Processes
Research areas & main research topics
-
Maintenance and refinement of ADM-Aeolus aerosol processor : monitoring and algorithm sensitivity studies
-
Quality assessment of Aeolus Level-2A Aerosol Optical Properties Product and validation with external satellite-based or ground-based Lidar measurements
-
Support Aeolus end-of-life activities and Phase F with novel applications of the Level-2A product related to aerosol science : optical and microphysical properties of elevated aerosol layers and clouds
-
Science oriented activities : demonstrate the aerosol observing capabilities of Aeolus with a focus on long-range transport of particles, e.g. volcanic ash, wildfire smoke or dust and their interaction with clouds.
Current project
-
AMD-Aeolus
