PoLiCyTa: new lidar for Cyprus

On 30 Sep 2020 the new lidar PollyXT-Cyprus left TROPOS for its journey to Limassol, Cyprus. There, it will become a key component within the EU Teaming project EXCELSIOR of the Eratosthenes Research Center of Excellence (ECoE). The lidar will link ECoE to ACTRIS and PollyNet. Its task will be to document the complex mixture of the different aerosol species and clouds over the Eastern Mediterranean. The device was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) via the PoLiCyTa project.
